I am very close to buying a new JD 790 with loader. I have two dealers who are very close to me. One has quoted a price of $14,700 and the other $14,500. Both would have the 419 loader. What should I be able to expect to negotiate for the tractor? Also, this may not be the right place to ask, but in order to afford the new tractor I am going to sell my old JD 140. It has complete working tiller, lift and angle front blade, completely redone 48" mowing deck and some cultivator attachment also. The 16hp motor was just rebuilt. What could I expect to sell it for? I ordered the following: $14,900
JD 790 no mid PTO dual SCV
R-4 tires
419 loader 61" bucket
grill guard
LX-5 Rotary cutter slip clutch and laminated tail wheel
The LX-5 is about $1000 dollars so you can do a little better than what you've gotten so far. Others have paid about the same as me. ....

just purchased a 790 w/ 419 loader and 2 work lights also liquid filled r4 for tires for a total of 13900.00 ....
